First, let offer my credentials for rating and reviewing a microfiber gym towel. I have none. Generally, microfiber fabic in everything from clothing to furniture to cleaning products gives me gooseflesh, and not the good kind. Secondly, I use it to dry off when I get out of the pool after a swim. However, I am not a competitve swimmer who gets in and out of the pool outdoors at 7 am. I'm on old retired geezer who started swimming laps daily a few years ago in an indoor pool in Southern California.I have been using an old kid's beach towel, and although it dried me off fine, it was heavy and big and took days to hang dry in the winter.By now, having swam daily for 2 years, I know what I want and what I need in a gym towel, and so far, this is it. It's the perfect size, big enough to dry and cover, but not so big as too be a hassle carrying with my other swim equipment. It also dries quickly. I have yet to grab this towel from its hanger in the garage and find it damp. I am quite happy with this little, inexpensive find.And regarding my aversion to microfiber fabrics - the waffled texture of this towel seems to have cured me.
